NICK MERCER is a hugely experienced voice artist whose work over the last few years has encompassed solo readings of novels for BBC RADIO, including CORSAIRVILLE the RADIO 4 BOOK OF THE WEEK.
He was a resident actor for the BBC RADIO DRAMA COMPANY, and presenter of STORY TIME and TIME TO MOVE for BBC RADIO 4/5.
He has created literally hundreds of voices for animation including, all the characters for BBC's BLUE COW Cartoon series (200 episodes, shown daily on BBC2/Cbeebies), and is currently working on a new 52 episode cartoon series, THOSE SCURVY RASCALS for BLUE ZOO ANIMATION - again voicing all the characters. The first six episodes of this production were recently voted best Children's Series at the BRITISH ANIMATION AWARDS, 2006.
He also voices a range of puppet characters for television including the puppet character JACKSON in the CBEEBIES series THE STORY MAKERS.
He has a bright, clear and personable narration voice with a trace of his Yorkshire roots remaining. |
